If you know me at all, you know that I am absolutely obsessed with pink, cute, and kawaii things. I’ve always felt that baby blankets should be extra special and super fun to look at.
That’s exactly why I decided to design the 3in1 Pink Pony Baby Blanket! I wanted to make something that feels like a hug and looks like a dream.
I gave it a mane made of sweet little hearts and covered the blanket part in squishy puff flowers that are so fun to touch. It’s perfect for cuddling, playing, or just making a room look extra cute.

How the pink pony blanket was born
I recently took a trip to Brighton, and while I was there, I went to see a cabaret show where I heard the song “Pink Pony Club” for the very first time.
I fell in love with the song and I couldn’t get the melody out of my head for days afterward!
That song stayed with me, and I knew I had to find a way to turn that inspiration into a new crochet baby blanket.
I spent a lot of time carefully picking out four different shades of pink yarn to capture the bright spirit of the song. I decided to use my crochet puff flowers for the main part of the design making it soft and fun to touch.
The final result turned out even cuter than I imagined! It feels like a little piece of Brighton is captured in the baby blanket.
You can bring that same joy into your own home with a baby blanket that is just as cheerful as the song that inspired it.

Why is it called a 3in1 blanket?
It is called a 3in1 baby blanket because it can be used in three different ways!
It is perfect for modern homes or smaller rooms because it does the job of three things at once, which helps keep everything neat and fun.
First, it is a cute and cozy blanket that is perfect for a nap in a cot or for staying snug in a pram.
Second, when you spread it out on the floor, it becomes a soft play mat where a baby can sit and play with their toys.
Lastly, when you are done using it, you can easily fold it up into a cuddly pony toy even you can snuggle with!

Why you’ll love this pattern
Perfect for Beginners: This design uses basic stitches that create a high-end look without the stress of complex techniques.
Irresistible Texture: The stitch combination creates a squishy, cozy feel that is perfect for baby blankets or a lapghan.
Stunning in Any Shade: While this version in pink is a favorite, the texture looks equally beautiful in other colors too.
Gift-Ready Design: This is a “go-to” pattern for baby showers or birthdays because it looks professional and feels incredibly soft.

The perfect baby shower gift
If you are looking for a unique present, this baby blanket is the perfect choice for a baby shower!
Parents always appreciate gifts that are useful, and this one is like giving three gifts in one. At first, it’s a cozy way to keep the little one warm in their cot.
The blanket can be spread out and it becomes a soft playmat for babies to play with their toys.
When playtime is over, it easily folds up into a cute pony, making it a huggable toy for the baby and a beautiful decoration for the nursery.
It also makes a wonderful birthday gift for older toddlers who will love having a pink pony friend to play with.

Who is this blanket for?
New moms will love this blanket because it is a nursery essential that does a lot of things.
It provides a soft, safe space for their baby to play around on, a cozy blanket for their naps, and a soft toy to keep them smiling. It is the perfect companion for a baby or even adults.
This baby blanket is a great gift to tuck under the tree for Christmas. It is a wonderful way to celebrate a baby’s first holiday.
When your family and friends come over to visit, they will be so impressed to see how this cute pony toy can suddenly unfold into a beautiful flower blanket.
Lastly, if you are looking to surprise your partner or a loved one with a meaningful gift, this is a wonderful choice for special moments like anniversaries and Valentine’s Day.
