Flower Bouquet Easter Egg Written Pattern

- To make a bigger egg, use the same pattern but a thicker yarn with the matching hook.
- Version 1(V1) of this design uses slate & yellow, and version 2(V2) of this design uses lime and light pink.
Easter Egg Pattern
Start with slate (v1) / lime (v2) and a 3.5mm crochet hook and make a magic ring.
Round 1: 6sc into the magic ring, pull the tail to close the magic ring hole shut = 6
Round 2: inc x 6 = 12
Round 3: *inc, sc* x 6 = 18
Round 4: *inc, sc in next 2sts* x 6 = 24
Round 5: *inc, sc in next 3sts* x 6 = 30
Rounds 6 – 12: sc in each stitch = 30
Round 13: *dec, sc in next 8sts* x 3 = 27
Round 14: *dec, sc in next 7sts* x 3 = 24
Round 15: *dec, sc in next 6sts* x 3 = 21
Start stuffing the egg with toy stuffing. Continue to stuff as you work up the rounds.
Round 16: *dec, sc in next 5sts* x 3 = 18
Round 17: *dec, sc in next 4sts* x 3 = 15
Round 18: *dec, sc in next 3sts* x 3, fasten off and leave a long tail= 12
Finish stuffing the egg firmly with toy stuffing, then use the tail to close off the hole.
Now you have the option to create a loop so you can hang your egg, or to simply weave in the ends. If you chose to add a loop, then use your finger to hold down the tail and form a loop right before you use the tapestry needle to weave it in.
Small Flower Pattern
Make 3. With yellow (V1) / light pink (V2) make a magic ring.
Round 1: continue with slate(V1) / lime(V2) and crochet in the magic ring: *ch2, extended sc, ch2, sl st into the magic ring* x 5, fasten off, leave a long tail, pull the tail of the magic ring to close the hole shut. Weave in the tail end.
Assembly
Pin the flowers to the egg as in the photo and using the long tail, sew the flower to the egg. Optional, make extra stitches in the middle of the flower to create the center if you wish.
