Single Crochet (SC) Stitch Tutorial

At the end of the 8 part tutorial, you will be able to crochet the basic stitches, do a slip knot, chain and make a magic ring.

Last time I showed you

1. How to make a magic ring

2. How to make a slip knot and crochet the chain stitch

3. How to crochet the slip stitch

Today you will learn how to crochet the single crochet stitch.

The single crochet stitch is the most basic of the stitches and also the shortest of them all apart from the slip stitch which is mostly used as a technique.

Below you will find the written tutorial with step-by-step instructions and photos and a short video that shows you in detail how to make the single crochet stitch.
