Christmas Pudding Hooded Blanket – Crochet Pattern In Adult & Child Sizes

With Christmas around the corner, I decided to create a festive hooded blanket for you to cuddle up in on those dark cold evenings. And so, the Christmas Pudding Hooded Blanket was born.

For this blanket, I chose a festive holly border with leaves and red berries, framed by white wavy rows that mimic the Christmas pudding topping.

The hood features a cute holly bow made out of two oversized holly leaves and 3 berries in the middle.

This is a cuddly, warm hooded blanket your child or yourself can snuggle in, and then it folds into a fun and decorative pillow in the shape of a Christmas Pudding.

Can I crochet this blanket using Aran (worsted) or Chunky (bulky) yarn?

Yes, you can! The hood, mittens, and body parts will come out a little smaller than my own if you use one strand, but still in the same shape. You can also make up for the thickness of the super bulky if you use 2 strands of bulky or 4 strands of Aran to crochet the hood and mittens. The blanket can be adjusted by simply crocheting more chains in the starting chain. Instructions on how to adjust the size of the blanket are in the pattern.

Do I have to use the same yarn brand as you to get the same result?

No, you don’t. You can use any brand you like but pay attention to the yardage, different brands have different yardage. I recommend this yarn because it has beautiful colors and washes well.

Can I change the size of the blanket?

Yes, you can. Each pattern can be adjusted by simply changing the number of starting chains and rows. Detailed instructions are inside the pattern.

Can I sell items made with your pattern?

Yes, you can if you make them yourself. Mass production of my patterns is not allowed without written consent from me, the designer. Please check the copyright section for more details.
