Crochet 3in1 Highland Cow Baby Blanket
Highland Cow Baby Blanket – Crochet Pattern by Crafting Happiness
You have to give this 3in1 Highland Cow Baby Blanket a try if you love farm animals or the countryside.
It’s the newest addition to my farm animal collection and makes a great project if you’re looking for a fun intermediate-level pattern.
And what a wonderful idea! A cuddly warm blanket or playmat that the baby can play with and then it folds into a highland cow toy to decorate the nursery.
Because of its versatile color palette and design, this blanket looks lovely in a minimalist home and is an ideal gender-neutral gift for a little one.
I used the Celtic weave stitch pattern for the blanket part and chose brown and cream for the colors to resemble a highland cow’s coat.
I also made sure to add the cow’s distinct features—long horns and adorable fringe. I think he turned out so charming. What do you think?

Highland Cow Baby Blanket – A Multipurpose Baby Blanket
The Highland cow baby blanket serves multiple purposes, making it a versatile addition to any nursery.
Not only does it provide warmth and comfort as a traditional blanket, but it also doubles as a play mat and a source of entertainment for your child. This all-in-one blanket is perfect for modern homes with limited space.
It is a blanket that keeps your child warm and snuggly. It features an attached cow toy that keeps your little one engaged and entertained. Whether you’re on a road trip or flying to a new destination, this blanket guarantees warmth and amusement for your baby.
In addition to its travel-friendly features, this blanket is equally functional at home. Lay it flat on the floor, and it instantly becomes a play mat for your child.
When the blanket is not in use, it can be easily folded back into a charming Highland cow you can place on the cot as a whimsical decoration to entertain your little one or enhance the overall aesthetics of the nursery.
Highland Cow Baby Blanket – A Unique Baby Shower Gift
Its adorable design and practicality make this cow baby blanket a perfect choice for a baby shower gift, delighting both the expecting mom and the little one to come.
The Highland Cow Baby Blanket was designed to fit into a farm-themed or countryside-inspired nursery or toddler room. You can make it neutral-colored just like what I did or play around with different shades and personalize the blanket to match any color scheme or gender.
I made this pattern with DK yarn, but you can use Aran yarn if you wish, and make adjustments to the blanket size. While the blanket and body parts may come out a little bigger than mine, everything will keep their shape.
