3in1 Easter Peep Bunny Baby Blanket

Easter Peep Bunny Baby Blanket – Crochet Pattern by Crafting Happiness
Easter is around the corner and I wanted to design a 3in1 baby blanket for the occasion. My last holiday design was dedicated to the British Christmas (yes, I made a Christmas Pudding Hooded Blanket and nobody knew what it was except the brits!), this time around I wanted to make something that is unique to America, and this is how the 3in1 Easter Peep Bunny Baby Blanket was born.
When I think Easter in America, I think of yellow marshmallow peeps, either in the shape of chick or bunnies. We used to buy them in bulk, it was my favorite thing to put in hot chocolate, but since I moved to England, I couldn’t find any in shops, my friends don’t even know what they are.
This is my tribute to the American Easter: a bright yellow baby blanket that folds into an Easter peep. I did not want the blanket to be too boring so I designed a love message on it written with bobble stitches in a corner to corner design.
This is a C2C design with a twist. I have combined regular c2c crochet with bobble stitches to create a love message on the blanket reading No Bunny Loves You Like I Do, which I think it’s really sweet.
For those of you who are not familiar with corner to corner crochet (c2c), I have written a complete guide teaching you c2c crochet. I also made a 2 part video on this technique, you should check it out even if you know the basics of c2c crochet, it has lots of tips and tricks that should make your life easier when c2c crochet.
It was very hard to photograph the blanket, the pictures don’t do it justice. The bobble message on the blanket is visible in real life, but on camera, it just didn’t read so well.
Changing the color of the blanket or using a contrasting color for the bobbles was not an option for me because I wanted it completely yellow, just like a marshmallow bunny peep, but it’s an option for you. I can’t wait to see how you are going to personalize yours.

Can I crochet this blanket using Aran yarn (worsted yarn #4) ?
Yes, you can! The blanket and body parts will come out a little larger than my own, but still in the same shape.
Do I have to use the same yarn brand as you to get the same result?
No, you don’t. You can use any brand you like but pay attention to the yardage, different brands have different yardage. I recommend this yarn because it has beautiful colors and washes well.
Can I change the size of the blanket?
Because this is a c2c crochet, you can not change the size of the blanket by making more rows, but you can make it a little larger by using a larger hook and yarn weight.
Can I sell items made with your pattern?
Yes, you can if you make them yourself. Mass production of my patterns is not allowed without written consent from me, the designer. Please check the copyright section for more details.
